A few weeks ago, Feeds picked up on the exorbitant prices that Soundwave tickets were being scalped for. This disgusting act of both selfishness and pure greed did not go unnoticed by Soundwave head-honcho AJ Maddah, who began a personal conquest to vanquish as many scalpers as possible, to ensure that true fans would be able to attend the festival at a reasonable price.
In light of this, a small batch of tickets (reclaimed by the festival) will go on sale next Friday for punters wanting to attend Sydney, Adelaide or Perth at 8am. This strictly limited batch may be the last opportunity to get tickets to the festival, depending on the scalpers next move. With some going for over $450, getting them at normal price seems like a good deal. The only issue associated with this is whether the website will crash or not. With thousands of fans devastated that they may miss out, OzTix will have to brace themselves to ensure that their servers do not crash.
The 3rd instalment of the already massive Soundwave lineup is being eagerly awaited by fans, keen to get their metal on come February. With rumours flying high, no one knows who will be on the bill, only time will tell. Anyway, just make sure that the scalpers don’t get their hands on these ones; cheers AJ!
