The footage proved that Swift knew about and approved the line, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” and even was aware that he was going to elude to making her famous. However in a response posted to Instagram Swift wrote she didn’t know he was going to call her “that bitch” referring to the line, “I made that bitch famous”.
“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song?” she wrote.
“It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world”.
In the leaked phone call Swift thanks Kanye for letting her know about the lines and even says that she was going to talk about them on the Grammy red carpet, but the words “that bitch” were never spoken of in the call.
“He promised to play the song but he never did,” Swift further wrote, suggesting the first time she heard the song was when the rest of the world heard it.
“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.”
While it may have seemed that Kim K ended this whole conversation with the Snapchat leaks, it seems it’s far from over. Read the full Instagram post below.
UPDATE 19/07/16 9:19am: It has been reported that Swift’s team actually threatened Kanye West with legal action months ago over the recorded phone call, in a bid to deal with the issue before it became public.
