American comedic rockers, Tenacious D, are set to release the follow-up to their 2006 album Pick of Destiny. The album, titled Rize of the Fenix is set to be released in May and will be the group’s third album.
The band, who supported stadium rockers Foo Fighters are expected to announce a string of world dates in support of their forthcoming album. The band have also announced that they will be appearing on the 2012 Download Festival, which is in contention for best festival of 2012 with a line-up including the re-united Black Sabbath, Metallica playing their infamous Black Album in its entirety, The Prodigy, Chase & Status, Soundgarden, Megadeath and many, many more.
Details about the album are yet to be released, but we should be expecting nothing less than impeccable if it is somewhat similar to their 2006 release.
