The Black Angels Announce Australian Tour, June 2013

Austin natives The Black Angels will be bringing their brand of grunge-laden psych rock back to Australia in June, announcing a headline tour off the back of their fourth studio album, Indigo Meadow, which landed on physical and digital shelves last Friday, 28th March.

The Black Angels last toured our shores as part of Harvest Festival 2012, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Beck, Sigur Ros and Grizzly Bear, where they saluted the waning sun with a gritty psych jam that ducked and weaved around a wall of sound.

Fans will no doubt be rubbing their hands to together to see the band in Sydney’s The Enmore and Melbourne’s Palace, venues almost tailor-made for the occasion. If the post punk lead single from Indigo Meadow, Don’t Play With Guns, is anything to go by, the gigs are sure to be a rock ritual.

Whet your appetite for The Black Angels national tour with the video for Don’t Play With Guns, below the tour dates. Tickets go on sale 12pm AEDT this Thursday, 4th April.
