The Darkness Announce Australia/NZ Tour Dates April 2013

Brit glam rockers The Darkness have announced a batch of world tour dates for next year, and luckily enough Australia have been included once again, making it the second time they’ve reached our shores within a year. Prior to their last visit in May, we hadn’t seen them visit our shores since the band went on hiatus.

The band burst on the scene with their debut album Permission to Land in 2003, which included the hit singles I Believe in a Thing Called Love, Growing on Me, and Love is Only a Feeling, signally what some considered to be an 80’s revival. However, since their first album, the band saw a number of lineup changes and eventually disbanded.

The group returned with new material last year after splitting in 2006, to bring us a new over-the-top single named Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us. This marked their first material in seven years. They performed a comeback show last year at the Download Festival.

Check the photos from their Melbourne show at The Palace earlier this year, and let’s get pumped for some all-out rock action next April.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, 11th February
