The Devil Wears Prada Prepare To Clock Some Studio Time

The Devil Wears Prada drummer Dan Williams has taken to Twitter to announced that the band (who are really crabcore but we’ll say metalcore to keep the peace) will be entering the studio next month where they will begin working on a new album.

The news comes just in time as, regardless of the considerable replay value of 2011’s Dead Throne, we’re long overdue for some new Prada, dammit. The new album, which won’t have an official title until later, is the second full-length the band have released since penning a deal with Roadrunner Records, which also facilitated the Left 4 Dead-inspired Zombie EP, so the major label move is clearly working out for the boys.

The news gets better – the great Adam D will be acting as executive producer for the album so there’s no way the bands fifth studio album won’t be hectic. The band have performed the new track Gloom live already, which is said to feature on the album, and that matches up pretty nicely with statements from Mike Hranica that the new record will be “very dark and intense”.

Have we put these guys down as a Soundwave 14 possibility? We probably should…
