Australian rock legends The Living End have finally announced their eighth studio album, Wunderbar, as well as a string of national tour dates this November.
We heard the album’s first single ‘Don’t Lose It’ last month, but now we have all the details. This album was recorded over a six-week period in Berlin, and is being billed as the most “conscious and politically vital” record of the band’s career thus far. It also marks the group’s first album since 2016’s Shift.
“We’re not trying to re-write [Pink Floyd’s] Dark Side of the Moon or anything,” says frontman Chris Cheney.
“Instead, Wunderbar does what The Living End do best, what’s kept hundreds of thousands of fans listening for nearly a quarter of a century: straightforward, heart-pounding, guns blazing rock and roll. I cannot wait to hit the road and get loud!”
In support of the record, The Living End will be hitting the road in November for a string of sure-to-be-huge shows. They’ll be kicking things off in Brisbane, before taking on Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and wrapping things up in Fremantle. Not only that, they’re taking Adelaide rockers West Thebarton along for the ride.
Wunderbar is out Friday, 28th September. Catch full details of the ‘Wunderbar Tour’ below.
