Aussie rock icons The Superjesus have dropped the motherload, sharing new music, new tour dates and the announcement of their first album in over two decades.
The Adelaide veterans’ fourth studio album will be self-titled, and reach our ears on Friday, 21st March. The LP forms the follow-up to their 2003 album Rock Music and will feature previous singles ‘Money (We’re Only In It For Love)’, ‘Lights Out’, ‘We Won’t Let Go Until It’s Over’, ‘Something Good’ and a cover of Generation X’s ‘Dancing With Myself’.
The Superjesus – ‘Diamonds’
We’ve also been given a fresh cut of the record in the form of new single ‘Diamonds’ (listen above), a stirring piano ballad that shows a new dimension to their sound.
“For us the magic is in the creation of the music and as a band we have found this process very soul enriching, I truly feel it is our best work yet, I love every song on this record,” singer Sarah McLeod says.
To celebrate the album’s release, The Superjesus will be hitting the road on a national headline tour this June, visiting fans in Sydney, Avalon, Melbourne, Barwon Heads, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Adelaide.
What’s more, the legendary act are giving local bands the chance to open for them at each show. If you want to throw your hat in the ring, you can enter the comp here.
