The Wonder Years have announced their return to Australia after over six years, marking their first shows locally since late 2018 as part of Good Things. They bring fellow American pop-punk act Joyce Manor with them, who themselves return after six years following their previous visit in March 2019. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be accessed below.
In a press statement, The Wonder Years’ frontman Dan Campbell said that he and his bandmates were “absolutely ecstatic to be coming back to Australia”. “It’s been far too long, and we’re extra excited… we can play full and long sets,” he said. “We get to have Joyce Manor, one of our all time favourite bands, and Suzi, who has quickly become one of our new favourites, on these shows with us. It’s truly a dream tour in dream places, and we hope to see you there.”

Indeed, opening the shows for the entire tour will be Melbourne-based folk-punk singer-songwriter Suzi, who is slated to release her debut studio album in 2025. Suzi, for her part, expressed that she was “so incredibly honoured to have been asked to join this tour” when sharing the news to her social media accounts. “What a dream run,” she added.
Since The Wonder Years were last in Australia, they have released their seventh studio album The Hum Goes On Forever. It was released in September 2022, and was flanked by five singles: ‘Oldest Daughter’, ‘Summer Clothes’, ‘Wyatt’s Song (Your Name)’, ‘Low Tide’ and ‘Old Friends Like Lost Teeth’. Earlier this year, the band released a stand-alone single entitled ‘Year Of The Vulture’, which served as the theme song for the WWE event NXT Stand & Deliver – which was held in their hometown of Phildalephia, Pennsylvania.
Joyce Manor, meanwhile, released their sixth studio album 40oz. To Fresno in June 2022. It featured the singles ‘Gotta Let It Go’ and ‘NBTSA’ (‘Never Be The Same Again’), as well as a cover of Orchestral Manouvres In The Dark‘s 1981 single ‘Souvenir’ from their album Architecture & Morality. The band’s most recent release was a 7-inch split with Tigers Jaw in 2023, in which they covered Tigers Jaw’s ‘I Saw Water’ and Tigers Jaw covered their song ‘Constant Headache’.
