Newcastle’s This That festival has added eight final acts to its 2018 lineup, taking its latest roster to a total of 23 acts.
New Zealand siblings Broods have joined the lineup off the back of their latest single ‘Peach’, alongside the likes of Australian rapper Allday and This That’s The Other Stage beatmakers Jesse Porsches, Ebony Boadu, Barney Cools DJs, Purple Sneakers DJs, SPORTS and Lex Deluxe.
These just-announced acts join a lineup which already featured acts like Amy Shark, Boo Seeka, Illy, Safia, The Rubens and RL Grime.
Alongside today’s newly-announced acts, This That has revealed it will follow in the footsteps of its sister festival Scene & Heard by giving away 50 free tickets to farmers and rural workers in the wake of the ongoing drought. Donation tins will also be out and about at the festival, with all proceeds going to the Buy A Bale charity.
Farmers and rural workers can apply for the ticket ballot here.
Today’s announcements come after divisive Sydney band Sticky Fingers pulled out of This That in July, following backlash from members of the public and at least one other This That act.
This That 2018 will take place at Wickham Park on Saturday, 4th November. Catch all the details down below.
