Thornhill To Headline Launch Of New Melbourne Emo Boat Party ‘Misery’

Dear sadbois and girls.

Ever feel like you’re just sailing through life on an ocean of your own tears? Well, now you can upgrade to the real thing!

All aboard the SS Misery, Melbourne’s brand new emo party on. a. frickin. BOAT!

It’s dropping anchor at Docklands for its maiden voyage on Saturday, 16th November with a stacked itinerary of emotion on the ocean, headlined by local metalcore heavyweights Thornhill (hot on the heels of the release of their new album The Dark Pool, no less)

Darwin alt crew Tapestry will also be whipping out their black nauticals and hitting the deck for the event, with DJs spinning all of your favourite emo bangers to soundtrack the remainder of your cruise around Melbourne’s harbour (we’re imagining Bring Me The Horizon’s ‘Drown’, songs off The Amity Affliction’s Let the Ocean Take Me, Stand Atlantic’s ‘Skinny Dipping’ — seriously, the thematic musical links here are as vast as the Pacific).

And the Grand Launch won’t be your only chance to get ship-rekt over summer, with Misery returning to hit the high seas again every month!
