Tour Guide: Sietta, The Ninjas, The Morning Night

It’s Tour Guide time and today sees the announcement of three of the Aussie music scene’s most attention-worthy groups, with new tours coming from Elefant Traks heroes Sietta, Brisbane-based post-punk reprobates The Ninjas, and Perth’s favourite indie sextet, The Morning Night.

Sietta The Invisible River Tour

Sietta are one of Elefant Traks’ hottest exports, and that’s saying something for a label that lays claim to some of the finest hip-hop talent Australia has to offer. The pair’s lush soundbed of bass, guitar, and electronics, paired with Caiti Baker’s epic voice, is a musical force.

The Darwin duo will soon be hitting the road to celebrate the release of their well-received sophomore album, The Invisible River. The pair also recently had a remix of their track Don’t Let It Go reworked by Elefant peer Urthboy.

Having only unveiled two singles, Brisbane punk duo The Ninjas have stirred quite a buzz for themselves, sharing stages with the illustrious and talented likes of The Cribs, Sticky Fingers, and The Medics, while collecting legions of fans like so many wicked souls.

The pair recently introduced those fans to their new, charmingly-titled single Kill ‘Em All and have announced that they will be embarking on a tour of the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and Sydney to spike a few more temporal lobes with their incorrigible stage antics.

The Morning Night So Now Tour

Perth six-piece The Morning Night have decided to head eastward for the release of their new single, So Now. The single is the latest taste fans are hearing of the band’s Ricky Maymi-produced sophomore effort, Amberola.

So Now is a tale of love stored safely in a capsule of catchy hooks, the band’s trademark harmonies, and earworm atmospheric touches that drift psychedelically into the far recesses of your sub-conscious mind. There’s even some frenetic drums and guitar, too.
