The cats behind triple j’s prestigious J Award have revealed the final list of artists and their albums eligible for Album Of The Year. The competition was already pretty stiff, but with the announcement of the new batch of nominees, shit’s gotten real.
Joining the pack will be metalcore heroes Northlane with their impressive album Singularity, Perth prog rockers and WAM award recipients Karnivool for their latest Asymmetry, Aussie hip hoppers Horrorshow with King Amongst Many, another WAM award winner Abbe May and Boy & Bear capping off the final list.
The judging period has commenced leaving only a small wait until Friday, 22nd November before the winners are revealed. Other categories for the J Awards include Australian Music Video of the Year as well as Unearthed Artist Of The Year celebrating the cream of the crop in Aussie unsung talent.
