Trivium are headed back to Australia in April of this year.
The metal kings was last here in 2014 supporting their 2013 album Vengeance Falls. Since then, they ‘ve released another album called Silence In The Snow and lost a drummer.
The band played with Matt Madiro on their last Aussie tour after he replaced Nick Augusto – but he’s since been replaced by Paul Wandtke.
Silence In The Snow is the band’s seventh album and the only record to feature drums by Madiro. It was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette who’s worked with the likes of Slash and The Amity Affliciton in the past.
It’s also heralded in a different style of singing for frontman Matt Heafy who worked with Disturbed frontman Dave Draiman to improve his vocal technique after suffering multiple blow-outs from over-screaming.
It also sounds a little power-metaly but that’s none of our business.
The band will play five dates in Australia with Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney all getting a show.
