Newcastle melodic punks Trophy Eyes are hitting the road this year, headlining the biggest venues of their career.
The tour will see them take the stage at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall, Sydney’s Roundhouse, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall and Melbourne’s Forum Theatre this August, with support from UK rockers Boston Manor and Adelaide punk duo TOWNS.
Trophy Eyes – ‘People Like You’
The shows come hot on the heels of a packed overseas touring itinerary for Trophy Eyes, who are currently trotting around Europe before they head over to the US, and will form Trophy Eyes’ only headline dates down under for 2024.
Trophy Eyes latest album Suicide and Sunshine arrived in 2023. “It’s the tragedy and the beauty of life,” frontman John Floreani shared in a statement about the title of the album. “When we did [2016 album] Chemical Miracle, our second full-length, the logo for the album was a palm tree and a noose.
“That’s literally suicide and sunshine. It’s always been there on my mind. And I think I finally just phonetically set it out. That encompasses everything I’ve been trying to do my entire career.”
