The huge Splendour In The Grass 2015 lineup has just grown even bigger with the addition of the winners of triple j‘s annual Unearthed competition.
Joining the likes of headliners Blur, Florence + The Machine and Mark Ronson will be Perth rockers Tired Lion who will open the festival as the competition’s national winner, as well as local Byron Bay three piece Skegss.
The young acts are in good company with past winners of triple j‘s Unearthed Splendour competition including Airling, Kingswood, Art Vs. Science and Millions.
They are the latest names to join the bursting lineup, which grew even larger just a few weeks ago, courtesy of the Red Bull Music Academy stage, which will this year play host to the likes of hip hop DJ and producer Nosaj Thing, Sampology, beatmaker Shlohmo, Melbourne’s Total Giovanni and many more.
American hip hop artist Jay Electronica was also included on that lineup but recently cancelled his upcoming Australian tour, including his appearance at Splendour In The Grass, due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
Splendour will of course be held from Friday, 24th July to Sunday, 26th July and will return to North Byron Parklands.
