Compton rapper Tyga is out on bail after turning himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department over a domestic assault charge.

Tyga was required to cough up $50,000 bail, according to TMZ, after voluntarily turning himself in. Tyga has been accused of physical assault by his ex-girlfriend, Camaryn Swanson. It’s speculated that Tyga will be charged with felony domestic violence.
Swanson claims she was hit by Tyga after arriving at his house earlier in the week. Swanson shared images of her bruised face on her Instagram Stories, writing “I’ve been emotionally, mentally, and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore.”
In another post, she wrote, “I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.”
Swanson also went to the police, who confirmed they saw “visible marks”, according to TMZ. The police then approached Tyga at his home, but the rapper refused to talk.
The following day (Tuesday, 12th October) he turned himself in and was released on bail roughly four hours afterwards.
We’ll have more to come as it unfolds.
