Australia’s newest heavy music festival, Uncaged has entered the chat with an absolutely mammoth debut lineup set to hit Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in early 2022.
Just yesterday, the team at Silverback Touring let us in on what’s in store, with the announcement of the first three acts: Brisbane prog titans Caligula’s Horse, Melbourne metal fusion band Twelve Foot Ninja, and alt-rock favs End Of Fashion.
Now, they’ve dropped just exactly who will be headlining, and the stellar team of hard rock, metal, punk, prog and classic rock acts who will join them.
Leading the charge is Wolfmother, who will be hitting Aussie stages for the first time since early 2020.
They’ll be joined by a bunch of other prominent groups, including Magic Dirt, Kingswood, The Getaway Plan, The Superjesus, Tumbleweed, Bodyjar, The Hard Ons, and The Meanies.
And rounding things out, will be a musically diverse range of emerging Aussie talent, like Ocean Sleeper, Banks Arcade, The Dead Love, Lagerstein, Alt., and more.
Danny Bazzi of Silverback Touring expressed the agency’s excitement at what they’ve put together, saying they’re keen to “break free from lockdowns and the pressures of the last two years.”
“Now is the time to get out and enjoy live music in a festival setting with some legends of Australian music and a whole bunch of amazing up and comers.”
He continued: “No matter what your flavour, there is something here for everyone to enjoy and to discover, all with some big festival vibes. This is the rock festival for rock fans, by rock fans.”
Tickets for the festival go on sale to the general public at 9AM on Monday, 18th October, with a members pre-sale running from Thursday, 14th October to Sunday, 17th October.
