US College Student Charged With Terroristic Threat After Writing A Tyler, The Creator Lyric On School Property

A college student in Alabama has been accused of and charged with making a terroristic threat after he wrote an old Tyler, The Creator lyric on a piece of school property.

21-year-old student Jack Christensen wrote lyrics from Tyler, The Creator’s 2011 track ‘Radicals’ on a large flip chart, according to The Associated Press (via Consequence of Sound).

The lyrics in question were the pretty blunt “Kill people/Burn shit/Fuck school”, taken from Tyler’s breakout album Goblin. Christensen also wrote “hail Satan 666/praise the devil”.

While details of the charge haven’t been revealed, Christensen has been prohibited from university property following some processes the university has to go through.

“No matter the circumstances, our police must treat any possible threat with the utmost seriousness and act immediately to ensure the safety of our campus community,” Vice President for Student Affairs Michael Mitchell.

Tyler is no stranger to controversy, having been banned from New Zealand and the UK until very recently. While it was never confirmed if he was banned from Australia, he certainly isn’t any more as he’s about to undergo a huge festival tour this New Year’s period.
