Donald Trump‘s tweets were already the stuff of legend even before he assumed the office of POTUS, but has the new President really just been trying to express his true emo self?
The hilarious people behind the @superdeluxe Twitter handle think so, and to prove it they’ve created an emo song exclusively using tweets that have come from Trump’s official account.
Throwing back to the heyday of bands like Brand New and Hawthorne Heights, Trump’s non-stop whining makes for deliciously perfect lyrics for the track, which definitely wouldn’t be out of place in the early 2000s.
Although it’s clunky and not all of it rhymes, screaming lines like “FAKE NEWS” are sure to bring at least a brief smile to your lips, as we all try to ignore the inescapable reality that will be the next four years of a Trump Presidency.
The music community has largely been at-odds with Trump’s decisions so far since he was elected, and yesterday at the Grammys A Tribe Called Quest were the latest to publicly diss the POTUS, labelling him “President Agent Orange.”
