The line-up for the annual Aussie BBQ at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas has been finalised, with Washington and Bliss N Eso added to the bill.
Aussie BBQ is the esteemed festival’s showcase for Australian music, organised by Stage Mothers and Sounds Australia. The event takes place in Austin on March 19 and in the past has featured sets from the likes of Hoodoo Gurus, You Am I, Philadelphia Grand Jury, The Drones, Birds Of Tokyo and Gabriella Cilmi. 2011 will be Washington’s second year at Aussie BBQ.
This year will see the whole spectrum of Australian indie represented, with a line-up including Cloud Control, The Jezebels, Art Vs Science, The Holidays, Boy & Bear, An Horse, Operator Please, Injured Ninja and more. More info can be gleaned by keeping a close eye on www.stagemothers.com.
The Aussie BBQ also has dates in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles. SXSW, the world’s premier festival for breaking new acts to the industry, runs March 16-20.
