Watch Charli XCX Remix Wolf Alice’s ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ For ‘Like A Version’

One UK superstar has covered another for this week’s instalment of triple j‘s Like A Version.

Charli XCX tackled Wolf Alice‘s highly-spun 2017 track ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ (their least screamy song) and completely reworked it into what can only be described as a live remix.

Sampling frontwoman Ellie Rowsell’s original chanted vocal hook (“What if it’s not meant for me, love”), Charli channelled her inner T-Pain, performing the main vocals soaked with live autotune, and even chucking in a brand new OG verse at the end.

During her visit to JHQ, Charli also performed her smash-hit original ‘Boys’ and revealed that she’s readying a new mixtape, Pop2, which she’s planning to drop on Friday 15th December.

It features an all-star cast of writers and vocalists including Caroline Polachek (Chairlift), MØ, Carly Rae Jepsen, Pabllo Vittar, Jay Park and loads more, and to mark the announcement, she’s also dropped futuristic new club track ‘Out Of My Head’ featuring Tove Lo & ALMA, which you can check out below.

The UK alt-pop singer-songwriter is on our shores as part of the blockbuster Sia tour bill alongside MØ and Amy Shark, which wrapped up earlier this week.

Charli and MØ also crashed Norwegian DJ Cashmere Cat’s 29th birthday party show in Melbourne for a surprise performance during their visit.
