Watch: Glasvegas Begin Working On Third Studio Album

Scottish indie rock group Glasvegas have entered the studio to begin the initial recordings of their upcoming third studio album and follow-up to their last release EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\, which during that period saw the band’s relationship with label Columbia deteriorate.

Previously the band have demoed new tracks to audiences in Sweden, playing a number of shows around the country, which saw them playing to over 4500 in 4 days. Generally, the songs have been well received and a recent tweet now confirms their intention to record the trialled tracks, after some tweets and an ‘in the studio’ video update was posted over the weekend (watch below).

The band found massive mainstream success back in 2008, after 5 years of releasing material on indie labels. When we spoke with singer James Allen just before their visit to Splendour in the Grass 2011 last year, he revealed the pressures and considerations that went into making their sophomore album. Whether we’ll see the same reflections for their next album, we’ll just have to wait and see.
