Not content with singing ‘You’re The Voice’ by herself, Céline Dion has teamed up with the man who made it famous — John Farnham — for a surprise duet in Melbourne on Wednesday night.
Performing at Rod Laver Arena to close her 2018 Australian tour, Dion had already started singing ‘You’re The Voice’ when Farnham walked onto the stage.
Footage of the duet (below) sees the crowd lose its collective mind when Farnham makes his surprise appearance, before a clearly emotional Dion thanks Farnsey for taking part.
“I’ve wanted to sing John Farnham’s ‘You’re The Voice’ on my tours for so many years, and it’s been so great to finally do it on this tour,” Dion later said on Facebook.
“But I still can’t believe that I got to perform it with the one-and-only, John Farnham! I will never forget this, the thrill of a lifetime. John, thank you for your incredible talent, you’re amazing. I love you! Thank you, Melbourne!”
Dion covered ‘You’re The Voice’ earlier in her Australian tour, but this is the first time Farnham has joined her for the song.
