Watch Kylie Minogue Lead UK Arena In ‘Neighbours’ Theme Tune Singalong

Kylie Minogue has busted out an absolutely classic moment during her recent gig in Leeds.

The pop princess egged the crowd on to engage in a mass singalong to the theme tune of Aussie soapie Neighbours (which for some reason remains even more of a cultural phenomenon in the UK than it is here).

The singer, who’s currently in the midst of her Golden tour, broke in to the song mid-way through her set, encouraging the crowd to get involved.

“Kylie Minogue made an arena sing the Neighbours theme tune and that is why she is a megastar,” one fan posted on Twitter alongside some footage, which you can check out below.

Minogue of course starred in the Aussie soapie from 1986-1988 as a mechanic named Charlene. Her character married Scott Robinson, played by her real-life boyfriend at the time, Jason Donovan.

Meanwhile, we recently spoke with tour promoter and Mushroom Group founder Michael Gudinski, who told us he’s working on getting Kylie back out to Australia.

“Very very keen to get Kylie back here,” Gudinski told us. ” She’s getting rave reviews, she’s going through the roof over in the UK, so I’m very keen for that, to get her back here.

“I mean, to have a number #1 album again in Australia and England was just fantastic. And I know she’s keen to come back [so] I’m working on that.”

Hopefully that means it won’t be long til we’re busting out the Ramsay Street singalongs here on home turf.

Everybody now: “That’s when good neighboursssssssss becomeeeeeeee goooooooooooood friendssssssssssss!” *saxophone solo*
