Lana Del Rey played her debut performance on Saturday Night Live on the weekend, performing Video Games and Blue Jeans. Harry Potter Star, Daniel Radcliffe, was the episode’s host and the promo videos for the show featured Lana and Daniel cracking jokes about Harry Potter.
Lana Del Rey is only the second artist to play SNL before actually releasing an album, the last time it happened was 14 years ago when Natalie Imbruglia played her hit Torn.
So far, Lana’s performance on SNL has received a lot of criticism, however a number of fans have also posted positive responses on social media. Actress, Juliette Lewis tweeted:
Wow this ‘singer’ on SNL is like watching a 12 yearold [sic] in their bedroom when theyre pretending to sing and perform #signofourtimes
Lana Del Rey will be visiting Australia in late February playing shows in Sydney and Melbourne; both shows have already sold out.
