The Sunset Strip Music Festival has seen the coming together of Ray Manzarek and Robby Kriege with solo artist and LAX favourite Marilyn Manson, who was joined by The Doors’ members during his headlining set on August 18.
According to NME, Manson together with Manzarek and Kriege covered 3 songs by The Doors: People Are Strange, Love Me Two Times and Five to One. The actual live quality of the covers is tough to tell from the footage available below with the audio not being the best, but Manson does at least seem to remember the lyrics, unlike his recent take on The Eagles’ Hotel California, which Manson performed during a wrap party for the latest season of Californication.
NME has also kindly provided the Manson’s setlist, which, as noted by Loudwire, consists of many classics, including Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), Personal Jesus, The Beautiful People and Manson’s recent single, No Reflection.
