Metallica have made a meal out of their guest cameo on late night LOL show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The rifflords stopped by to spruik their just-dropped 10th studio album Hardwired… To Self Destruct, chatting to the K-man about the new disc, plus the origins of their badass logo and the fact that all their kids apparently don’t give two shits about their dads’ band (sacrilege!).
But that’s not all. Naturally, the thrash kings treated the funnyman to a live performance, busting out new crusher Atlas, Rise! off their fresh slab of metal, but they also delivered a curveball by dusting off one of their classics: For Whom The Bell Tolls off their 1985 LP Ride The Lightning = a dose of unexpected awesome sauce.
To cap off a solid cameo, Tallica — good sports that they are — also got involved in one of Kimmel’s trademark skits, challenging a so-called “superfan” to a round of band trivia and rocking off in a game of wits dubbed Who Knows Metallica?
Find out who emerged victorious in the clips below.
Meanwhile, there’s plenty of other stuff for Aussie ‘Tallica fans to get excited about RN, with the bands’ old m8 from Soundwave AJ Maddah revealing that they’re in the process of locking down an Australian tour for 2017.
As James Hetfield would say: YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
