Watch Mumford & Sons, My Morning Jacket, Hozier & More Cover A Beatles Classic

With a little help from their friends, folk rockers Mumford & Sons became ‘Mumford & Sons & Friends’ at Bonnaroo on Saturday night, 13th June, as they were joined by My Morning Jacket, The War on Drugs’ saxophonist Jon Natchez, Hozier and more for a cover of The Beatles’ classic, With A Little Help From My Friends.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, Mumford & Sons closed their Bonnaroo set with the cover – also made famous by Joe Cocker – which also saw contributions from Dawes, Ed Helms, and Danny Clinch. Watch the performance in full, below.

The cover has in fact become somewhat of a staple of the Mumford & Sons live set, with the band having closed out their 2013 Coachella performance with the song alongside an all-star group that included First Aid Kit, as well as members of the Vaccines Vampire Weekend.

Mumford & Sons’ Bonnaroo 2015 set marked their return to the festival almost two years since they pulled out of the event when bassist Ted Dwane needed emergency brain surgery. The band’s 20-song Bonnaroo setlist included tracks from all three of their studio albums.

This year’s Bonnaroo festival has seen a number of brilliant moments, including Childish Gambino unveiling a bran-new song, and Jon Hamm And Zach Galifianakis trolling the event as best they could.
