Three fourths of Mumford & Sons reunited to join Californian pop rock trio Haim on stage at Glastonbury over the weekend. Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane took to the stage with the Haim sisters for a pair of Rolling Stones covers – Dead Flowers and Honky Tonk Woman.
Back in September, the UK folk giants announced they would be on hiatus for the “foreseeable future,” and as MTV UK reports, recently denied that they would perform at this year’s Glastonbury festival as a complete unit, after headlining last year. The members were however involved in this year’s festival, acting as curators for their very own Gentleman Of The Road showcase stage.
As NME reports, the members — sans banjo player Winston Marshall — took to their own stage to play with several of the acts who were performing that day, including the sisterly trio, who recently revealed that they will soon be entering the studio to begin work on their sophomore album.
