Radiohead have been consistently surprising on their world tour, digging deep into their back catalogue and their set at Primavera Sound was no different.
Following a 22 song set which included a five song encore ending on There There, it looked liked Radiohead’s set had ended but the band had other plans. They unexpectedly returned for a second encore of Creep, a song they played for the first time in a decade a few weeks ago.
As Consequence Of Sound reported, it was a totally unplanned second encore. According to their staff who were on site at the festival frontman Thom Yorke joked about the monitors being broken before heading side of stage to ask how much time they had left. He then returned to the stage for Creep.
Fan footage of the performance shows the crowd singing along louder than Yorke himself in what would’ve been a pretty incredible moment to witness. This is only the second time they’ve played Creep on this tour.
As well as showcasing songs from their most recent album A Moon Shaped Pool, they also played classics like No Surprises, Paranoid Android and Karma Police. People on Twitter have been marvelling at just how good it is including Aussie comedian Wil Anderson who labelled it the best show he’s ever seen.
