Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has been mixing it up on tour recently.
Currently on the road in the U.S. promoting his latest record, CMFT, Taylor’s recent date in Missouri saw the musician get into character, but it wasn’t the typical masked-up fare Slipknot fans are used to.
Performing an extended set in Missouri, Taylor and his band donned the famous KISS looks to perform during their encore. Taylor, in full Starchild glory, looked equally as at home rocking this *look*, though unfortunately, there were no KISS covers to accompany during the gig.
What fans did get treated to though, were some ripping takes on Nine Inch Nails, Cheap Trick and even some Stone Sour cuts, for those fans of Taylor’s other sonic outfit.
Along with performances of Slipknot classics ‘Wait and Bleed’ and ‘Snuff’, Taylor and his band covered ‘Something I Can Never Have’ by Nine Inch Nails and Cheap Trick’s 1979 classic, ‘Dream Police’. The inclusion of ‘Wait and Bleed’ into Taylor’s solo set is a new one, with the performer rolling the seminal 1999 work out for the first time maskless, at a gig in North Dakota last week.
