Please Enjoy This Video Of Brass Against Covering ‘Mother’ By Danzig

Brass Against are a New York based, brass-centric protest band, who’ve become known for their YouTube covers of songs by Rage Against the Machine, Black Sabbath, Audioslave and Tool.

Some of them have been incredibly popular. Their rendition of ‘The Pot’ by Tool has racked up 3.4 million views, while their version of ‘Killing In The Name Of’ (which I implore you to check out) is currently sitting at 2.8M.

On their website, the band say they are “a collective of artists, led and curated by Brad Hammonds, who share in the goal of creating brass protest music that calls fans to action. We want the music we perform to sound inspiring and resonate with people’s emotions, encouraging them to act.”

Anyway, last week, the band uploaded a cover of Danzig’s classic tune ‘Mother’ and it, well, rips? The trumpets and trombones give the whole thing a heavy jazz feel, and they’ve enlisted vocalist Liza Colby for the arrangement.

Check out the video below.
