The Killers surprised their Sydney audience last night by bringing The Vines‘ Craig Nicholls on stage.
Nicholls joined the band during their encore with Killers frontman Brandon Flowers acknowledging the impact The Vines had on them.
Flowers said that the Aussie band, “paved the way for bands like us in the early 00s to make rock n roll.”
“They just sorta blew the doors open and allowed for bands like us to walk through them. We’re gonna play a little bit together now.”
“Sounds good,” Nicholls replied before they launched into The Vines’ biggest hit ‘Get Free’. He then stayed on stage for The Killers own ‘When You Were Young’.
It’s actually not the first time Nicholls has joined The Killers in Sydney. They covered The Beatles’ ‘Helter Skelter’ together back in 2007.
