Australia’s numero uno Colombian-rock-roots outfit are celebrating their recent triumphant tour of South America with a run of shows across Sydney next month, champing at the bit to get back in front of the home crowd.
Central to their upcoming shows, Watussi feature fresh new music from their latest recording, a studio album project in which they teamed up with New York luminary, producer Joel Hamilton (BlakRoc, Tom Waits, Talib Kweli, Matisyahu) to create a sound that captures Watussi’s distinctive live feel but welcomes the exploration into new musical territory.
The latest single, ‘Tu Te Vas’ features a collaboration with New Orleans MC Curren$y, whose work with Damon Dash, Lil’ Wayne and Center Edge Territory (with Mos Def and Jay Electronica) has made him one of the most talked about young MCs in the U.S.
