Los Angeles indie rockers Local Natives have unveiled their clip for the ethereal, dreamy You & I, the latest single from their second studio album, Hummingbird, directed by Daniel Portrait of Portland-based production collective Kamp Grizzly.
You & I is another delicious slice of melancholy from the quartet and the beautifully shot video simultaneously manages to be both a bit of a tear-jerker and really damn weird, following the story of last dog on earth’s hospitalisation. If you’re a canine lover, we’d recommend grabbing the tissues before you sit down to this one. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Local Natives released Hummingbird earlier this year, which was co-produced with the help of The National’s Aaron Dessner, and they also stopped by Music Feeds Studio for a chat when they were in town for a 3-show tour last month.
