We’re Going To Have To Wait A Bit Longer For A New Arctic Monkeys Album

Alex Turner says he feels “no rush” to get cracking on the next Arctic Monkeys album, even though their last LP, AM, was released back in 2013.

The frontman has been back on the road with Miles Kane for their joint The Last Shadow Puppets project, having released their second album Everything You’ve Come To Expect, back in March this year

And during the supergroup’s current tour, Turner was quizzed by Radio X about whether or not there were any plans for the Arctic Monkeys to put out a new record, to which he replied: “No, there aren’t really, Not yet. But there will be at some point. I mean, we’ll see with that. No rush.”

He also mentioned that his collab with The Last Shadow Puppets will come to an end when the festival season is over: “The plan was to end [The Last Shadow Puppets] at the end of the summer, and I think we’ll stick to that.”

Perhaps Turner has another project in mind? He was spotted at Glastonbury last month shakin’ some tail feather side of stage during Tame Impala’s set.

Maybe a collab in the future? We can dream.
