After several weeks of hints, rumours, qualifications and heel-dragging, the Wu-Tang Clan‘s much anticipated tour of Australia has been finally confirmed.
The Clan will play just three shows in August, in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Fans will have been keen awaiting confirmation of the shows after Ghostface Killah moved to reassure fans the crew were indeed on their way on Triple J.
“We coming over there to mash out and we’re going to be over there definitely,” he said. “We got love for Australia and Australia has love for us. We wish we could come over there more often but we just need the right promoters to call us and stuff like that.”
For this tour, RZA will not be joining them, but on board to travel are all of Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, GZA, U-God, Masta Killa, DJ Allah Mathematics, DJ Street Life and Young Dirty, the son of deceased member Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who died in 2004. He is also the nephew of RZA. The Wu Tang Clan currently touring in Europe.
