XXYYXX Australian Tour March 2013

Teenage Orlando-based electronic star XXYYXX will visit Australia’s capital cities to pump out his “quite simply mindblowing” music in some sweaty shows in late March.

XXYYXX – aka 17-year-old Marcel Everett – dropped his self-titled debut album last year to rave reviews, having his music featured in XLR8R, The Needle Drop, Earmilk, Indie Shuffle and BIRP, just to name a few. He’s also done remixes for artists such as Tinashe and Usher.

XXYYXX’s music has been described as “prolific output of eclectic, vivid electronica conjures a broad spectrum of emotions and visions; desolate landscapes, moments of intimate warmth, serene sadness and transcendent beauty”. It’s also been likened to James Blake and The Weeknd.

Everett himself has labelled his style of electronic music as experimental bass, and is believed to be working with local producer Ta-ku on some new beats.

Tickets for XXYYXX are now on sale through Moshtix.
