Years & Years Announces Australian Headline Shows

Years & Years, the project of British musician Olly Alexander, has announced a pair of headline Australian shows for November. The gigs will be taking place in Brisbane and Adelaide, with Years & Years already scheduled to perform in Sydney and Melbourne as part of Summer Camp festival. The shows will be Years & Years’ first in Australia since transitioning from being a band to a solo project for Alexander.

Originally composed of Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy, Noel Leeman, Olivier Subria and Emre Türkmen, Years & Years became Alexander’s solo vessel in 2021. Goldsworthy has since appeared as a touring musician for the project, notably during Alexander’s Glastonbury performance last month.

Years & Years will perform at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday, 9th November and Adelaide’s newly launched Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday 11th November. Alexander will be bringing his latest album, Night Call, to life – the album topped the UK’s Official Albums Chart upon its release in January 2022.

Meanwhile, Years & Years will appear at Summer Camp alongside Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Big Freedia, Ladyhawke, Cub Sport and more. It’s the inaugural year for Australia’s newest LGBTQIA+ festival.

Tickets for the headline shows are on sale to the general public from 9am local time on Friday, 5th August. A pre-sale kicks off on Thursday, 4th August via the Secret Sounds website.
