YG Drops Out Of Listen Out 2014 Lineup

The organisers of Listen Out 2014 have confirmed that West Coast rapper YG, best know for his 2013 hit My Nigga, will no longer be appearing at the upcoming festival. Taking to Facebook, organisers write that the rapper, real name Keenon Jackson, has cancelled all of his upcoming Australian tour dates.

“Unfortunately YG has cancelled his Australian tour, so he won’t be appearing at Listen Out,” reads an official statement by organisers, though they promise good news is forthcoming. “In better lineup news, [two] more touring acts and a host of others will be announced over the next [two] weeks.”

Jackson recently pulled out of an appearance at Spokane, Washington venue The Knitting Factory, taking to Twitter to write, “Spokane. The show today got [pushed] back. Due to all this fukkin work I gott goin on [sic].” However, the MC did make his appearance at the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia.

The 24-year-old rapper’s performances at Listen Out was to be his first Australian appearance since the release of his full-length debut, My Krazy Life. Jackson was slated to appear alongside Australian heroes Flume and Chet Faker, as well as Four Tet and fellow West Coast hip-hop talent Schoolboy Q.
