Wollongong festival Yours & Owls is promising to return bigger and better in 2022.
After successfully running a COVID-safe event in the middle of a pandemic—taking over Wollongong’s Dalton Park on Saturday, 17th and Sunday, 18th April 2021—the organisers of Yours & Owls have confirmed the dates for the festival’s full-scale return in 2022.
Next year’s event will take place on Saturday, 2nd and Sunday, 3rd April (that’s two weeks before Easter). And it’ll be back where it belongs: at Wollongong’s beach-facing Stuart Park.
Yours & Owls festival had previously run in the springtime, but the organisers have decided to keep it in April, saying they “fell in love with those autumnal April feels this year.”
They’ve all but signed off on the lineup, too, and an announcement is expected in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, punters are encouraged to save the date and sign up to the Yours & Owls mailing list to receive any breaking news regarding the 2022 event.
This year’s unconventional COVID-era festival featured performances from the likes of Tones And I, Cosmo’s Midnight, DMA’S, Dope Lemon, Hayden James, Hockey Dad, Lime Cordiale, PNAU, Running Touch, What So Not, Winston Surfshirt, The Smith Street Band, Slowly Slowly, Children Collide and stacks more.
