Yungblud Responds After Backlash Over Perth Pic With Rammstein’s Till Lindemann

Yungblud has responded to criticism after a photo surfaced of him posing with Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann during the pair’s recent time in Australia.

The image, shared on Lindemann’s Instagram, shows the two musicians standing together by the ocean in Perth, where both artists were touring separately. Lindemann captioned the post: “Absolute pleasure meeting @yungblud in Perth. Have fun in Mumbai!”

“You all know what I stand for, always. I’ll be more aware of it in the future.”

Shortly after the photo began circulating, Yungblud faced backlash online due to sexual misconduct allegations made against Lindemann in 2023. At the time, a woman alleged she had been drugged at a pre-party held at a Rammstein concert and later propositioned by Lindemann. An investigation into the claims was ultimately dropped, with Rammstein later stating the allegations were “baseless and grossly exaggerated”.

In response to the criticism, Yungblud released an audio statement on Instagram, saying he was unaware of the allegations at the time of meeting Lindemann.

“I had no idea,” he said. “Obviously at the minute I’m meeting lots of people every day without fully knowing who they are or what they’re about. And I can assure you, if I knew about any allegations, it would have been a completely different story.”

He added: “You all know what I stand for, always. I’ll be more aware of it in the future.”

Yungblud’s Australian tour has now wrapped, with the UK artist set to kick off a North American tour in May.
