Straight off the back of his performance at the iconic Lollapalooza Festival in the US and gearing up to head to this year’s Sprung Hip Hop Festival in Brisbane and Melbourne, one of Aussie hip hop’s most successful exports 360 checked in with the Music Feeds team for our latest podcast episode.
After the success of his previous album Falling And Flying, Sixty is now a dude who is constantly buzzing. His chart-topping release is expected to be followed up with a new album in the near future and, by the sounds of things, everything is going to plan – Sixty explained that he’s been cracking away at the release for some time now.
Sixty was also more than happy to lift the lid on his forthcoming project, informing us that Daniel Johns and The Presets will be featured on the album, which may or may not be called C**t, and dedicated solely to the C word. Time will tell.
From there the conversation steered towards his Australian fan base, and how his reputation within the underground hip hop community – the same one which nurtured him some years ago – has been turned on its head, as well as the tension (or lack thereof) between himself and Kerser.
Fans can expect some big things from Sixty’s upcoming shows at Sprung Hip Hop Festival in Melbourne and Brissy as well as Northwest Festival in Port Hedland.
