PREMIERE: Melbourne Punks Press Club Bring Their A-Game On Brash Debut Single ‘Headwreck’

Melbourne outfit Press Club are one of the most exciting bands kicking around on the live music scene at the moment – their unbridled, raw energy already captivating audiences at the mere handful of shows they’ve performed thus far. Early fans have been clamouring for more from the Brunswick natives, which is why we’re stoked to be premiering their debut single ‘Headwreck’, here today.

In just over two and a half minutes, ‘Headwreck’ perfectly captures the frenetic energy of a frustrated generation facing uncertainty, instability and who are fighting to be heard. Self-produced and recorded on a sweltering 40-degree day, the punk rock track takes inspiration from a relationship turned sour, and is “a call to arms to respect yourself, to demand more”.

The track’s video captures that brash energy too, showcasing exactly why Press Club are on everyone’s much watch list right now.

‘Headwreck’ is out this Friday May 12th and you can get an early glimpse of it live when Press Club support Tired Lion tomorrow night, Thursday, May 11th at Northcote Social Club. The band will then play a single launch show in Melbourne at Old Bar on Saturday, July 8th.
