August Burns Red Post Two New Updates From The Studio

By the sounds of things, the fifth studio album from metalcore maestros August Burns Red, Rescue & Restore, is going to be a brutal affair. Continuing on with their efforts to keep fans abreast of their progress on the record, ABR have posted two new studio updates leaving fans with little option other than to get real keen.

The first clip focuses on the recent drum tracking sessions with sticksman Matt Greiner. Sat behind a mean-looking kit, enough recording gear to sink a ship and a small crowd of technicians, Greiner delivers his contributions to the new album in quick succession.

Following that, the band documented some of the vocal tracking process with frontman Jake Luhrs and bassist/backup vocalist Dustin Davidson laying down some mean growls. It seems Luhrs is going all out with his lows this time round, increasing the chances that Rescue & Restore will be a ruthless album.

Guitarists needn’t worry, either – there’s plenty of guitar talk with both axemen JB Brubaker and Brent Rambler.

You can check out the first single Fault Line now. The full release is expected internationally on Tuesday, 25th June. No Australian release date has been announced yet.
