80s rebel icon Billy Idol is bringing his peroxide hair, defiant snarl, and bag of classic hits to Australia for his first national tour in over a decade. Idol will play headlining shows in Wollongong, Sydney and Melbourne while also performing as part of A Day On The Green throughout March 2015.
Idol will tour with his band, headed by respected American guitarist Steve Stevens and be supported by 70s power rock band Cheap Trick. By the time Idol, Stevens and co arrive fans will be well acquainted with Idol’s new album Kings & Queens Of The Underground, due out this Friday, 17th November.
In addition to his arena shows Idol will be part of next March’s A Day On Green. The regional outdoor tour also includes Cheap Trick, who will be performing joint shows with Australian classic rock outfit The Angels, and Sydney pub rock act Choirboys.
Pre-sale tickets for Idol’s headlining shows go on sale from 2pm (AEDT) Monday, 20th October to 2pm Tuesday 21st October through Frontier Touring. General Public tickets go on sale from 10am local time Thursday, 23rd October. A Day On The Green tickets go on sale from 10am local time Thursday, 23rd October.
