Blood On The Dancefloor Quit Soundwave 2013

US electro-punk act Blood On The Dance Floor have cancelled their appearances at Soundwave 2013, and festival boss AJ Maddah could not be happier.

Maddah announced the news via his Twitter account last night – with no key details on why exactly the band aren’t playing at the festival any more.

Update 19/02/2013: Have Blood On The Dancefloor broken up?

However, Maddah did say for fans to “rejoice in the news”, hinting that the band may have been a bit hard to deal with. You can check out his tweet at the bottom of the page.

The band’s decision to quit Soundwave also effectively means that band members Dahvie Vanity and Jayy Von Monroe’s sidewaves as a duo are also now not happening. The duo had dates locked in at The Wall in Sydney on February 26th and at Arrow On Swanston in Melbourne on February 28th.

Blood On The Dance Floor are the third band to drop off the Soundwave bill for 2013, following Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti and New York death metal/hardcore group Dr. Arculla. The former had double booked himself, while the latter split up as a group entirely.
