Bright Eyes aka. Conor Oberst appears to be doing a Sydney side show while he is out here on the Harvest Festival line-up.
An advertisement in street press Drum Media (Sydney) has a date for him at the Enmore Theatre on the 14th of November. While other cities like Perth and Adelaide are unlikely to get a sideshow, according to promoter AJ Maddah.
There’s been talk about disbanding Bright Eyes for a while now, after Oberst hinted in an interview with Rolling Stone that “It does feel like it needs to stop at some point. I’d like to clean it up, lock the door, say goodbye.” But cleared up any misconceptions when he spoke in an interview with NME, merely saying he probably didn’t mean it like that but “we don’t really take anything off the table.”
The latest Bright Eyes album, their seventh in all, was The People’s Key, released in February of this year.
