Daft Punk Tease ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’ Video Clip

Now that those pesky geo-locks have been removed, Australians can now experience Daft Punk’s latest teaser for the forthcoming Lose Yourself To Dance music video. The brief one-minute clip first aired during yesterdays heavily discussed MTV VMAs show and is now available for all to view.

Now, you’re going to need to pay attention as the differences between this music video and the one for previous single Get Lucky are subtle and few. Both featured a bedazzled Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers and a pair of shiny French cyborgs. However, the main difference seems to be Lose Yourself To Dance depicts the gang performing for a horde of partying fans atop a PYRAMID, coz that’s how Daft Punk roll.

Get Lucky had the lads dressed the same way, but in a studio on a platform, then briefly performing in front of a setting sun, so if you’re looking at that right now, you are indeed watching the wrong clip.

The VMAs ceremony was a big night for the French duo, who attempt at a surprise appearance as their first public outing since dropping Random Access Memories, and failed spectacularly thanks to Stephen Colbert’s on-screen rant. As well as previewing the below trailer on the night, they also presented Taylor Swift with her award, though probably spent the rest of the night snoozing in their helmets.

Fans will possibly be able to get their groove on to the full-length video clip sometime in the near future, though Daft Punk being Daft Punk we can’t tell you if or when that’s going to happen.
